Vino Montechiari Merlot

Region of production: Montecarlo (Lucca) – Tuscany

Grape: 100% Merlot

Alcoholic volume: 14 % vol.

Vinification and maturation: Hand-picked and selective harvest; alcoholic fermentation and maceration on the skins for about 30 days at controlled temperatures. Malolactic fermentation and maturation in French oak barriques for approximately 24 months. This is followed by about 12 months in the bottle before the wine is released for sale.

Tasting notes

Purple-red colour with garnet reflections; the nose is dominated by the fruity note of cherry, raspberry, and other small berries, followed by a tertiary note; the palate is consistent with the olfaction, the tannin is velvety, and the finish is persistent and elegant.

Serving temperature

18 – 20 °C
